The OAuth 2.0 scopes Wealthbox asks you to approve when you connect.
| Scope | Access |
|---|---|
| mcp:read | Read |
| mcp:write | Elevated |
Before you connect
- An active Wealthbox account with the appropriate firm permissions is required.
- Registration method is CIMD, not DCR: the authorization server advertises client_id_metadata_document_supported=true and no registration_endpoint (verified 2026-09-20). Ferentin presents its CIMD URL as the client_id and the token endpoint accepts token_endpoint_auth_method=none.
- The authorization-server metadata is at the RFC 8414 path-insertion URL https://mcp.crmworkspace.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server/mcp — the host-root path returns a 404 HTML page.
- This is a WRITE-CAPABLE server (roughly 67 tools, including CreateContact, CreateOpportunity and task/event creation). Grant 'mcp:write' only where an agent is meant to change CRM state, and consider an approval gate on the create/update tools.
1 more technical note
- 'mcp:read' alone is enough for meeting prep, pipeline review and client lookup.

Frequently asked about Wealthbox
- What can AI agents do with Wealthbox through Ferentin?
- Through Ferentin, agents can use Wealthbox for getcontact, createcontact, getopportunity, createopportunity, task creation, event scheduling, note taking and tagging. Every call is checked against your Ferentin policies first.
- How is Wealthbox access secured?
- Requests through the Wealthbox integration are covered by OAuth 2.0 consent, granular scope selection, cimd client identity and audit logging. These controls are applied by Ferentin, not by Wealthbox, so they hold across every connected agent.
- What permissions does the Wealthbox integration require?
- The Wealthbox integration requests 2 OAuth 2.0 scopes: mcp:read (read access); mcp:write (elevated access)
- How do I connect Wealthbox to Ferentin?
- Open the Ferentin admin console, add Wealthbox as a new connection and authenticate with OAuth 2.0. You then choose which permissions and which tools your agents may use, and the connection goes live for everyone covered by your policies.
- Is the Wealthbox integration generally available?
- Yes. The Wealthbox integration is generally available on Ferentin, including the free tier.
