How Junie works with Ferentin
Ferentin detects Junie on managed endpoints and registers it as an AI agent, so its MCP connections carry enterprise identity governance, policy enforcement and audit logging. Junie performs Dynamic Client Registration against a Ferentin MCP endpoint's authorization server and discovers it from the protected-resource metadata, so no client id has to be copied by hand. Its MCP traffic can also be steered through the gateway.
- 1
Register Junie
Add Junie as an AI application in the Ferentin admin console.
- 2
Sign in with your identity
People authorize Junie with their enterprise identity, over OAuth.
- 3
Every tool call governed
Ferentin checks each MCP call against your policies and logs it.

Junie is JetBrains' coding agent, built on the IntelliJ Platform so it reads a project the same way the IDE does. It runs as a plugin inside the JetBrains IDEs and as a standalone CLI, sharing configuration and skills between the two. Shell commands are gated by an allowlist, and it loads Agent Skills from both its own directory and the shared cross-agent convention path.
