Permissions requested
The OAuth 2.0 scopes MoneyGuide asks you to approve when you connect.

Before you connect
- An active MoneyGuide (MoneyGuidePro / MoneyGuideElite) account is required.
- Dynamic Client Registration is NOT available: the MoneyGuide identity server at /ifa/identity advertises no registration_endpoint (verified 2026-09-20). Credential inheritance is therefore REQUIRE_TENANT.
- Request the 'moneyguide.api' scope — the WWW-Authenticate challenge names it explicitly.
- Non-standard metadata placement: the protected-resource document is at https://www.moneyguidepro.com/ifa/mcp/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource (suffix), not the RFC 9728 host-root insertion form. The explicit protected_resource_metadata_url above avoids a failed discovery probe.
1 more technical note
- Financial plans contain goals, net worth and retirement assumptions — treat plan content as high-sensitivity in DLP policy.
